ABOUT taylor
Taylor's
PERSONAL JOURNEY
At a young age I experienced feelings of abandonment and inadequacy which resulted in low self-esteem and anxiety. Through self-reflection, self-help books, and counseling I was able to learn to accept myself. This journey of personal growth is an ongoing process, but it has helped me learn the power of talking through emotions and understanding who I am.
Later in life, I watched my peers have a difficult time adjusting to college where there were people unlike them and environments they were not used to. There was a wide range of beliefs and experiences that took them outside their comfort zones as they began to question who they were and what they believed in. For some of my peers, I became the person to come to as a sounding board or friend to talk through emotions. I realized quickly that I enjoyed helping them talk through their emotions and learn more about themselves, and I knew it was what I wanted to do with my life.
I am currently a graduate student at Northwestern University working towards a Master’s of Clinical Mental Health Counseling and LPC licensure. I have enjoyed all of my coursework and fall more and more in love with the mental health field as my program progresses.
There is power in healing the mind.
I hope that I can help you on your journey of self-reflection and healing.

COUNSELING SPECIALTIES
Taylor may be a good fit for you if:
You are searching for a nonjudgmental connection with someone
You are looking to embark on a journey of self-exploration
You are overwhelmed with stress and not sure what to do about it
Taylor predominantly uses Psychodynamic Therapy in her sessions.
Psychodynamic therapy is all about becoming comfortable with your past and being able to embrace who it’s made you today, rather than letting it hold you back. Our sessions will consist of talking through the issues which bring you to see me. We focus on what you want to talk about, go where you want to go with our sessions, and I listen and provide support in helping you find meaning and understanding in your life. This is all about understanding yourself, and understanding how what you’re feeling affects your actions, relationships, and overall wellness.
